And You Know How Delicate God’s Feelings Are

November 30, 2012 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Careful.  God’s feelings are involved here.

Bryan Fischer, the director of issues analysis of the conservative fundamentalist American Family Association, on Thursday told a so-called “expert” who denies climate change that not using God’s fossil fuels would be like “crushing” someone’s feelings by rejecting their birthday present.

No, he said that. Seriously.

“And you think, that’s kind of how we’re treating God when he’s given us these gifts of abundant and inexpensive and effective fuel sources,” Fischer added. “And we don’t thank him for it and we don’t use it.”

“You know, God has buried those treasures there because he loves to see us find them.”

Uh, the same could be said for marijuana.  God lets it grow and then The American Family Association won’t let us use it.  God loves watching us find it!

I think God is crying, Mr. Fischer.

Thanks to Irene for the heads up.

You guys know Bob Perry, the super duper rightwing guy who got his start in politics by funding Swift Boat Veterans for Truth.  Bob Perry, of course, never served in the military and couldn’t find truth with a compass, Tonto, and a bloodhound named Google.

But, that whole thing gave him a rush so now instead of spending money on his home construction business so he might build good houses or paying his workers a fair wage, Bob continues to buy politicians.  I mean, he got such a bargain with George Bush.

This election cycle he totally wasted $10 million plus on trying to elect Romney.  I say “plus” because some figures are still coming in.  It seems he also wasted another million trying to defeat Jon Tester in Montana and Heidi Heitkamp in North Dakota.

Don’t ya just love it when that happens?

It’s Friday so it must be lunch at the Dairy Queen with Alfredo.

And I Suspect We Are Going To Have To Have The Daily Cruz

November 30, 2012 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Texas’s latest stand-out crazy even in Washington Dee Cee is Ted Cruz –  our new Canadian born Cuban Tea Party Senator.

He’s gonna give Louie Gohmert a run for his wild and crazy.

Ted gave a speech explaining why Latinos didn’t vote Republican.

“You want to know why Barack Obama won 71 percent of the Hispanic vote? Tone on immigration contributed, but I think far more important was ’47 percent,'” Cruz said.

So, Poor Ted thinks Republicans lost Hispanic support because of that whole 47% thing that Romney said.

Bless his heart, Ted has it floored in neutral.

Two weeks before the 47% comment, Romney had 28% of the Hispanic vote.   Romney ended up with 27% of the Hispanic vote.  The comment, apparently cost Romney 1% of the Hispanic vote.

It’s the arithmetic.

Rumor has it that Ted Cruz wants to run for President.  Keep your fingers crossed.

Thanks to David for the heads up.

New and Improved Daily Louie

November 30, 2012 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Hellfire, the sun wasn’t even up good and all Louie broke loose.

Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) went on a rant against his party leaders for “not leading” when it comes to cutting government spending, and warned that if they don’t prevail in extending the Bush tax cuts for everyone, including the wealthy, then rich people will leave the country.

To start with, I’d like to point out that rich people ain’t paying their fair share of taxes, always have their hand out for corporate welfare, and already have most of their money out of the country so, all in all,  we’d probably be better off without them.

But the downside is that Gohmert will be staying.

From the Lone Star state to Capitol Hill, a list of the richest and poorest members of Congress from Texas has been released. Topping the charts as the “poorest” Texan in Congress is East Texas Representative Louie Gohmert.

Congressman Gohmert has a negative net worth of $150,000.

So here’s a grown man, making $174,000 a year, and who is $150,000 in the hole, telling me that he’s some kind of financial wizard who can solve the country’s problems.

So, if Louie could amend that to “rich people and crazy Republicans,” I’d vote for it.

Thanks to Texas Ellen for the heads up.
